U14 Boys Subway Provincial Cup Final
Summerside United 3 (Logan VanderVelden, Tyson Arsenault, Pat Bernard ) defeated Souris Lamplighters 2(Matthew McInnis, Cole Carpenter).
As predicted based on their identical 10 – 1 regular season record, this game was going to be tightly contested. The Souris Lamplighters took a 2 – 1 lead in to half time with goals from Matthew McInnis and Cole Carpenter. Summerside United, who only clinched the regular season title on goal differential, continued to pressure the Lamplighters squad and were rewarded with a goal in the 59
th minute from Tyson Arsenault and they got the winner in the 69th minute from Pat Bernard to clinch the Subway Provincial Cup Title. Logan VanderVelden had the first half goal for United to keep the game close at the break. Both goalies played very good in net to give their teams a chance at the title.
